Was thinking of placing an order, but there are many reviews that give me pause. Any of you have any experience with them?

The OEM prices are often the same as your dealer. I don't see any advantage.
If you have a local dealer, you may as well support them before they go away.

I've been buying from BikeBandit for 8 years now without a single bad experience. Deliveries have always been prompt and correct. OEM parts do take a little longer but we're talking about a week or two at most and they've always come through. For some (mostly discontinued) OEM parts, BikeBandit has had some incredible deals. In addition to the TBird, I also have a 2009 Bonneville. A couple of months ago, I got a Triumph (oem) Quick Release Summer Windshield from BikeBandit for $43! Brand new, factory sealed. Last night I ordered a Triumph center stand from them for $75; same stand was over $150 everywhere else I looked. Again, discontinued (by Triumph) and on "Sale" by BikeBandit.

I've seen some of the posts about bad customer service. I've only ever contacted them once (couple of years ago) and got fast, polite service so I don't know what's going on. I think sometimes it's just bad chemistry between the vendor and a particular customer. And sometimes you're just dealing with an idiot at the other end. It happens. It just hasn't happened to me at BikeBandit.

Thank you everyone.
Was looking at the locking fuel cap there, which is a lot cheaper than at the dealer- though I haven't gone far enough to check S/H

Still waiting on an order from six weeks ago. They never answer phone, auto respond only via email, online chat broken.
Check elsewhere, "in stock" means nada.

If you're just looking for a locking cap that fits and it doesn't have to be the Triumph cap, check this one out for $23: Link

I put one on my Bonneville (and it fits the TBird, too) and added a Triumph decal to the lock cover. If you go this route, I'll send you a decal. I gave an eBay vendor (in Turkey) the dimensions and he printed some up for me.

Reading MotorMac's reply, it mirrors many of the reviews I've read about the place. A good price is only good if you get the product, and although I may get it in the end, I don't want to wait weeks for it.
Ok... I re-read that last sentence and it doesn't sound too good.
Anyway... Thanks PapaSmurf for the offer! Very gratious of you! I've only run across BelaCorse one other time, and have never ordered from them. I assume you've had good luck?

No issues with BellaCorse, although I've only started ordering from them this year since they specialize in the Bonneville. They do have a good reputation, though. And I'll repeat, I've never had a problem with BikeBandit, either and I order from them often, so maybe it just depends on what you order there.

Last year they shipped me an Avon Spirit tire that was over 3 years old. When I complained, they said its acceptable to sell tires that are even older (I think he said 5 years). Well not for me. They had to run my return request thru management and were nice enough to take it back with full refund. In the meantime I found out my local mechanic can get the same tire at the same price, and he always gets nice fresh ones. So that's where I'll go for now on.

Old thread but yeah, BikeBandit has really fallen. I don't buy from them any more, either, but mainly because they haven't been able to deliver Triumph parts for quite a while. On the other hand, I've had a couple of parts on order with Hermy's for 5 weeks now but BikeBandit was having problems before the pandemic and Hermy's seems to have just started having issues.

First Bird parts stop should always be FastEddySports.com he carries/stocks most of the accessory stuff (like locking gas cap) and is small biz, and a fellow Bird owner/lover.

After that, local dealer if they have it or can get it.

Then, Bikebandit.com But expect that sometimes you will place your order, receive confirmation and either wait as long as it takes, or sometimes, get an email a few weeks later saying it's on back order or unavailable.

It has been said before- aftermarket is fine and product ships quickly. OEM they act as a middle man for the manufacturer. Worst parts is they leave part online for sale that are discontinued from the manufacturer, allow you to order the item then wait in limbo until you complain or try and follow up as to the status of the ordeer. The website is a complete mess like that. You CANNOT trust the Triumph OEM products offered for sale- period.

Fast Eddy, first stop: Link

Great source I've used for years, OEM and aftermarket parts, Adapt Powersports (Southern CA): Link

Another source, World of Triumph: Link

BikeBandit is no longer on my list....
